The beauty about this photography game is i'm forever improving my skills.
Learning new tips, techniques and my way around the never-ending photoshop all the time.
Almost daily.
The thing ive decided to do , which alot of others dont, is not use pre-set filters.
This meant learning the ins and outs of photo-shop, to which I was a total newbie.
Sometimes I wish I had took the easier way out and on several occasions I found out what other presets photographers had bought and nearly done the exact same.
But nope, I decided to stick it out.
So one day I could look back at my journey and know it was mine.
Each and every mistake I made, mine.
Each and every triumph I made, mine.
There has to be a journey.
You cant arrive at the finish line without running the race.
By buying these presets that others were using only put me in the same basket as them.
Sure, the tones are beautiful and very "in" right now, but I wanted to try and re-create what I was seeing as close as possible with my own unique style.
I am getting soooo close to being 100% happy with my end product.
The beauty of editing and working in photoshop is that past shoots can be re-edited and appear to look totally different.
So I went back to a favourite session of mine from 2 years ago and applied the new settings I have learnt in that time and the results are just amazing !
I edited over 50 new images that I didnt touch before!
Which makes me think...imagine all the other sessions that could look completely different, more beautiful , more true to what I was always trying to achieve...
I might have to re-visit a couple more faves from the past during this iso business!
Let me know if yours is one of them....
